Accelerated Programs

RN to MS in Nursing option: Earn both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing AND a Master of Science in Nursing by considering the RN-to-MS in Nursing option. This option offers associate's-, diploma-, or certificate-level nurses the opportunity to satisfy specific core requirements for Kaplan University's Master of Science in Nursing program while completing their bachelor's degree in nursing.

Students then have the opportunity to enter Kaplan University's Master of Science in Nursing program in a condensed format. Those individuals completing this accelerated program could earn their Kaplan University Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at a faster pace and lower cost than completing each degree separately.

At this time, the Doctor of Nursing Practice is available only in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming.

2 The Master of Science in Nursing program’s adult gerontology nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner specializations, the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Certificate, and the Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate are available only in the above-listed states, in addition to Maine and Wisconsin. Please note that most states require nurses to be nationally certified in order to obtain licensure as a nurse practitioner. Students are responsible for determining whether they will be eligible for state Board of Nursing approval and certification as a nurse practitioner or advanced practice nurse in their state. Students can obtain additional information from their state’s Board of Nursing, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (AACN), and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
